Privacy Policy

Introduction

BibliaContigo ("we", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we process when you use our applications and website, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect and how we use it

Account and authentication

When you create an account, we process your email address, user identifier, and basic profile details. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the information that provider shares according to your permissions. Supabase provides our authentication and database services.

App usage

We store the information required to provide and sync features such as chapters read, bookmarks, notes, plans, Academy lessons, streaks, preferences, and subscription status.

AI assistant

Questions and Bible context that you submit to the assistant are processed on our servers and may be stored with the response to provide, secure, and improve the feature. To generate a response, the content is transmitted through OpenRouter to the selected model provider. Our requests require zero-data-retention routing and deny provider data collection; if no compatible provider is available, the request should fail instead of weakening that protection. We do not use your queries for advertising. AI responses can be inaccurate and are not a substitute for professional, pastoral, medical, legal, or mental-health advice.

Langfuse receives pseudonymized technical summaries about quality, usage, cost, and latency. Those summaries do not contain full questions, answers, evidence, or conversation messages.

Analytics

We use PostHog to measure product performance and general usage. For signed-in users, we may associate events with a pseudonymous account identifier. We do not send the Bible text you read, AI question or response content, email addresses, or tokens to PostHog. Session recording and IP geolocation are disabled.

Error diagnostics

We use Sentry to detect failures and improve stability. Our configuration excludes personal information, screenshots, view hierarchies, request bodies, and AI content by default. Reports may include a pseudonymous identifier, app version, platform, environment, and technical error details.

Website and language preference

The website may save the functional NEXT_LOCALE cookie when you change languages. It remembers Spanish or English for later visits and is not used for advertising.

Payments

Apple App Store and Google Play process purchases. RevenueCat helps us validate and synchronize subscription status. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.

Notifications and service email

If you grant permission, we may send reading notifications. You can disable them in your device or app settings. We may also send operational email through Resend, such as authentication, security, or essential service notices.

Service providers and transfers

We share data only with providers needed to operate the functions described above, including Supabase, OpenRouter and model providers, Langfuse, PostHog, Sentry, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, and Resend. Some providers may process data in other countries under their own legal and security commitments.

Retention and security

We retain data while your account is active or for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, prevent fraud, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

Children's privacy

BibliaContigo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

AI features are intended for adults. The app requests an age acknowledgment before use; anyone under 18 should not use those features without a parent or legal guardian's involvement.

Your choices and data deletion

You can manage permissions on your device and delete your account in the app. You may also email soporte@bibliacontigo.app. We will delete or de-identify associated data except where retention is required for legal, security, or abuse-prevention reasons. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription managed by Apple or Google.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the product or our obligations change. We will publish the effective date of the current version here.
